In its third year, the Community Hospice Foundation proudly continued its tradition of honoring beloved veterans from the William F. Green Veterans Home with a memorable “Tour of Honors” event at Naval Air Station Pensacola.
Local veterans spanning WWII, Korea, and Vietnam eras were warmly escorted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department to the esteemed National Naval Aviation Museum. There, amidst the historic aircraft, they enjoyed a heartfelt sit-down lunch, sharing tales of valor and camaraderie with fellow veterans and future generations.
Upon arrival, the veterans received a warm welcome from sailors stationed at NAS Pensacola, who graciously accompanied them throughout the day’s events. It was a day filled with both joy and emotion, fostering connections across generations and preserving cherished memories.
As we reflect on this meaningful occasion, we eagerly anticipate continuing this tradition for years to come, honoring the sacrifices and bravery of our nation’s heroes.
