At Community Hospice, we recently had the joy—and bittersweet honor—of celebrating the retirement of someone truly special: Karla Thornton. After many dedicated years of serving patients and families with extraordinary compassion, Karla is stepping back from her full-time role.
Karla’s kind voice and patient, loving spirit have been a steady source of comfort for so many. Whether she was lending a listening ear or offering gentle guidance, her presence made a lasting difference in the lives of those she cared for and worked alongside. She is not only a beloved team member but a shining example of what it means to serve with heart.
While we’ll miss seeing her every day, we’re grateful that Karla isn’t going far—she’ll continue to be with us on a part-time basis, sharing her wisdom and warmth in a new way.
